This resort is a top choice for diving enthusiasts, particularly for trips to Sipadan Island. The experience from arrival at the airport to the resort was seamless. My experience at Borneo Divers Mabul Resort was mostly fantastic, with beautiful diving opportunities around Sipadan and great hospitality from the staff. While the initial hiccups with orientation and some troublesome guests put a damper on the beginning of our trip, the overall ambiance and personalized service turned it around. The food was tasty, though sometimes a bit chaotic during mealtimes. If you're diving, this place is a must, but the room and bathroom could use some updates.
